Midwife, Antenatal Class, Sleepless Nights

Hello everyone,

Well, ive been to see the midwife and she said that baby is in the right position (head down) thanks goodness, although the training midwife told me his head was ‘engaged’!! As you can imagine we got a little bit nervous but the midwife confirmed he was just head down.

We have had our last antenatal class aswell which is abit bizarre as they seemed to have gone VERY quickly making the last 3 months fly by.  Its funny to see how everyones tummies had grown over the time. Lots of different shapes and sizes, but its nice to speak to people that are at the same stage as ourselves and having the same worries and concerns.  Its great for the fathers too as it also gives them all a chance to be honest with their worries as generally they all feel the same way and have the same thoughs and concerns.

Joel is struggling with my lack of sleeping at the moment, bless him.  I have got pelvis and hip pain which is causing me to toss and turn during the night hence keeping  us both awake.  Unfortunately Joel has got to go to work VERY tired, but he says its the only thing he has had to deal with (apart from my erratic moods ofcourse!!) so its fine.  I suppose we both need to get used to it though because in 4 weeks or so the little one will be here, oh good lord!!!
